How We Work Our Approach
We have a common-sense approach to doing business with our customers and are strong believers in making all aspects of our 3PL operation easy to understand and transparent to the people we work with. This process starts at the earlier discussions stage when we are first approached by businesses looking to outsource their warehousing and order fulfilment operations with Hallett Retail Logistics and continues through the quotation, SLA definition, onboarding, go-live and post go-live stages.
Our approach to providing for our customers and potential customers is that we start with an operation questionnaire and a pre-onboarding meeting to discuss the responses to the questions. This allows us to understand your business requirements and map out how we will make your business a success with regards 3 PL activities required. We are also strong advocates of sound project management methodologies in order that we can plan and give structure to onboarding and ongoing project delivery.
Why work with us
Because of the way we work, many customers have chosen to work with Hallett Retail Logistics. Our best practice processes make us a reliable partner and service provider. We are knowledgeable about onward compliance, being a safe pair of hands dealing with your customers or retailers. This is all wrapped up with clear, easy to understand SLAs.
During the early stages of the work, when we onboard your products into our Manchester warehouse, you are assigned a project manager who works with you to organise stock transfers, system set-ups, transport, packaging and any special processes that your business needs. We ensure that processes, I.T. and our team are organised in a way that will ensure your business trades successfully with your own customers.
More about our I.T.
A key part of the Hallett Retail logistics operation is how we set up our warehouse management system in order to fulfil orders and handle your stock. For this reason, we work with you during the onboarding stage in order to define a number of criteria such as stock item data files and formats in order that we can set up our WMS to automate operations and reduce error rates. This structured approach ensures for a smooth operation later down the line.
